Agartala, March 22, 2023: The Tipra Indigenous Student Federation (TISF), the student wing of TIPRA, organized a press meet today to address concerns raised by Tiprasa students regarding the extension date for Application Submission/registration for the scholarship 2022-2023 academic year.
Sanjay Jamatia (Agartala Town Committee Joint Convener) spoke to the media and explained that many Tiprasa students had faced difficulties while applying for the scholarship a few days back. After receiving these complaints, the TISF decided to take immediate action.
"We met with the Directorate of Tribal Welfare LT Darlong and submitted an application requesting an extension of the date for Application Submission/registration of the scholarship. Mr. Darlong accepted our request and assured us that he would look into the matter and take the necessary steps," said Mr. Jamatia.
As per Mr. Darlong's assurance, he has issued a notification extending the deadline for the Submission/registration of the scholarship. Sanjay Jamatia, on behalf of TISF, urged all Tiprasa students studying both in and outside of Tripura to take note of this extension and complete all necessary verifications within the extended date.
This move by the TISF and the Directorate of Tribal Welfare LT Darlong is expected to provide relief to many Tiprasa students who faced difficulties in submitting their scholarship applications on time.
