Home Minister Amit Shah assures TIPRA Chief of interlocutor announcement by 27th for constitutional talks on indigenous people of Tripura


 


Chief of TIPRA Motha, the leader of the Indigenous People's Regional Alliance, made an announcement on his Facebook page on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2023, stating that he had received a phone call from the Honorable Home Minister, Amit Shah, inquiring about his health. During their conversation, the Home Minister also confirmed that an interlocutor would be announced by the 27th of this month, with regards to the constitutional solution for the indigenous people of Tripura.

"I woke up to an early morning call from the Honorable Home Minister @AmitShah to enquire about my health. He also categorically assured me that by the 27th of this month, an interlocutor will be announced for our talks regarding the constitutional solution for our indigenous people of Tripura," stated Chief Motha in his Facebook post.

The Chief of TIPRA expressed his hope that the Home Minister would understand the sentiments of the Tiprasa community and honor the commitment he had given.
