TIPRA Motha Delegation Meets Election Commission, Demands Immediate Special Intensive Revision in Tripura

New Delhi:

In a significant political development, a high-level delegation from the TIPRA Motha Party today met with the Chief Election Commissioner and other senior Election Commissioners at Nirvachan Sadan, the headquarters of the Election Commission of India in New Delhi.

The core agenda of the meeting was the urgent implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state of Tripura. The TIPRA Motha leaders raised pressing concerns and emphasized the need for immediate corrective steps to ensure accurate, transparent, and inclusive voter registration across the state.

In response, the Hon’ble Commission assured the delegation that the Special Intensive Revision will be conducted nationwide, and Tripura will be fully included in the upcoming exercise. This assurance comes as a relief to many who have been demanding revisions to address discrepancies in the electoral rolls and improve electoral integrity in the region.

The TIPRA Motha leadership hailed the meeting as a positive step toward safeguarding the democratic rights of all indigenous and marginalized communities in Tripura.
