Agartala, March 17th, 2023: The Tripura Education Minister, Ratan Lal Nath, announced on Wednesday that the National Cadet Corps (NCC) will soon be included as an elective topic at the undergraduate level in Government degree colleges across the state. This decision was made following a meeting between the Minister and the Director General of NCC, Lt Gen Gurobipal Singh.
Nath stated that the committee has agreed, in principle, to introduce NCC as a subject in all Government degree colleges starting from the next academic session. During the meeting, the Minister and the NCC Chairman also discussed the ways to enhance the NCC's infrastructure and operations in Tripura.
The Education Minister further emphasized the state government's commitment to encourage as many students as possible to enroll in NCC. This move will undoubtedly create new opportunities for young people to learn valuable skills, develop leadership qualities, and serve the nation.
The inclusion of NCC as an elective subject at the undergraduate level in Tripura is expected to bring about a positive change in the state's education system and boost the NCC's popularity among students.
