In a historic move to modernize education, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha laid the foundation stone for the installation of AI-powered smart classrooms in 500 government schools across the state. The project, under the Tripura Digital Education Mission, is estimated to cost ₹75 crore and is expected to transform learning in rural and urban areas alike. “This is a step towards preparing our students for the future," said the CM during the inauguration held at Agartala’s Rabindra Bhawan. Students will now have access to virtual labs, interactive lessons, and online career guidance powered by artificial intelligence tools. The initiative is part of Tripura’s larger push to bridge the digital divide and improve quality in public education.
