On Sunday afternoon, Cyclone Mocha made its landfall in Bangladesh near Coxbazar and the North Myanmar coast. The severe cyclone brought heavy rains and strong gusty winds up to 200 kmph to the coastal areas, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate.

Flights were suspended and an alert has been sounded for Cox Bazar seaport, Chattagram, and Payra port in Bangladesh. Meteorologists have warned that wind speeds in the Bay of Bengal could reach 200 kmph, posing a significant threat to coastal communities.
