On Wednesday morning, a 32-year-old man was shot while cleaning grass near the Indo-Bangla international border in the Siddhinagar region of the South Tripura district's PR Bari police station.
Anwar Hossain, the injured guy, was sent to GBP hospital in Agartala for treatment. According to sources, Hossain lives in Muslim Para, which is located beyond the barbed fence with the pillar number 2133.
As soon as the report of gunshots spread, tensions skyrocketed.
Locals claim that police officers from Bangladesh opened fire on him. Bangladeshi cops from the Fulgaji police station, on the other hand, disputed the allegations.
According to police sources, the man was weeding grass for his cattle when he came to a pond to clean the mud-splattered grass that had crossed the zero mark. According to his neighbours, Hossain got into a heated argument with local cops. When the cops allegedly fired at him, the altercation turned ugly. His body was discovered with two rubber bullets.
Later, a meeting between BSF and BGB forces was called to discuss the matter, but the BGB disputed the claims levelled against the Bangladesh police.
The sufferer is no longer in danger, although he is still being treated at GBP hospital in Agartala.
